Good morning!

Just a quick update this week.  Thank you to everyone who was able to contribute to our pancake mix and syrup collection for Oxford Neighborhood Services.  We donated a total of 157 pounds of pancake mix and 8 gallons of syrup!

The group going on the mission trip in July is starting its first fundraiser – a sub sale.  If everyone buys 20 subs they don’t need to do any more fundraising! 😊 Orders will be received between now and 4/27.  They will be delivered/distributed at the church on 5/8.  See Thomas for more information.

Here's what’s happening:

1.                TONIGHT  -  Our Prayer Vigil starts at 7 pm.

2.               TOMORROW – Our Good Friday Communion Service is at 7 pm at the church.

3.               SUNDAY – Easter Morning Sunrise is at 7 am, followed by breakfast at 8 am, the popular family trivia game at 9 am and then our worship service at 10 am.  If you are able, the kitchen committee is asking that people bring a breakfast casserole dish and either a fruit or a pastry tray.

4.               Next Thursday – Youth Group at 6:30 at the school house.

5.               4/25 – Youth Group Campfire Night at the church.

6.               4/26 – Men’s Breakfast at Kreider’s Market.

7.                5/1 – National Day of Prayer.  There will be a prayer service at Lancaster Bible College starting at 6:15 pm.

This week we finish our look at the Road to the Resurrection with Jesus’ encounter with two men on the road to Damascus.  Our focus will be on hope.  What is hope?  How is that word used in our culture today and how does that differ from how the Scriptures use it?  What are we declaring when we say that Jesus is our hope?  We’ll strive to answer those questions on Sunday!

How long was Joseph in prison?

On Sunday we looked at Joseph’s incident with Potiphar’s wife and how it led to Joseph being put in prison. As is often the case, the Bible compresses the timeline of Joseph’s life during this time.
