Well Done

Good morning,
We had 16 youth and 4 adults at the Black Rock retreat last weekend! I’m told that it was a great time. I am thankful for the chaperones for being willing to make it happen and to everyone for praying for their weekend. I am also told that the youth of Andrews Bridge made a great impression on the Black Rock staff with their attentiveness, politeness, and behavior. That apparently could not be said for some of the other youth groups in attendance.
I just want to say how proud I am of the youth for representing themselves, their church and (most importantly) their Savior so well. There is certainly a lesson there for all of us…someone is always watching and taking note of how Christians conduct themselves in public! Well done gang!

The raising of Lazarus from the dead caused quite a commotion in Jerusalem and fear gripped the religious leaders. On Sunday we’ll see how the threat of losing their position, power and control led them to decide that Jesus had to die. What they didn’t realize, however, was that God was going to use their evil for the good of all people. We’ll also look at what we can learn about surrendering all (even control) to Jesus in our lives.
